The Eco-Urbanites Symposium will explore city-life in Ireland and Japan within three themes.

What is a liveable city? How can individual and collective well-being through citizens' lifespans be ensured and fostered? How to plan and manage relationships between the centre and the hinterland, downtown and the suburbs?

How can cities support social inclusion for diverse and ageing populations in social services, health, education? How do cities cater for the different needs of rapidly increasing populations in a way that fosters belonging?

Launch of the Eco-Urbanites Symposium at 7.15pm in the Neill Theatre, Trinity Long Room Hub, Fellows' Square, Trinity College Dublin. With Her Excellency Mari Miyoshi, Ambassador of Japan in Ireland, and Dr Patrick Prendergast, Provost and President, Trinity College Dublin. Musical performance by Philip Horan & Junshi Murakami. Registration by email essential.
